The War on Terror and the establishment of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security are only two consequences of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
This talk will present an overview of the United State’s and Europe’s counter-terrorism strategies and IT systems currently in place and a perspective on measures planned in the years to come.
The foundation of the talk and U.S./ EU comparison are the “DHS Strategic Framework for Countering Terrorism and Targeted Violence” & “The European Union Counter-Terrorism Strategy”.
